The
Elgin Cold Ducks snowmobile club is a non-profit organization which
was incorporated on January 22, 1974 to promote safety and organize
snowmobiling in the greater Elgin area. Our club is a member of Region
5 of the IASC (Illinois Association of Snowmobile Clubs.) Our members
and supporters are not only from Elgin but the surrounding communities,
towns and rural areas. We have alliances with other clubs in the area,
which provide us an almost unlimited interconnecting trail system that
can take you just about anywhere your heart desires.
The
club offers many annual fun events paid for in part or entirely from
your dues. The club picnic, hayride, organized snowmobile trips, trail
work lunches, pizza banquet, and the Christmas party are all part of
it. Come join the fun!
We
meet as a club on the third Tuesdays of each month from September through
April at the South Elgin Lions Club; 500 Fulton St., South Elgin, IL.
Meetings start at 7:30pm.

Safety
Education Program
If you have a child approaching the age of 13 that would like to
obtain a snowmobile driver's certificate, you will need to sign them
up for our Safety Education Program. The SEP class is a one-day course
in snowmobile safety and use. It is held near Elgin. Class dates will
be announced soon, and they tend to fill up quickly, so sign up as soon
as possible. Parents are welcome to stay and observe the class. Sign
up by emailing info@elgincoldducks.com.
