Hefty Zip Bags

I went to Dom's today to get my Hefty bags that I had to raincheck last week for the zip gallon and quart sized bags. The raincheck was for 10 @ $1.50 ea. Well, they are on sale again this week on a even better deal. I can't find it in writing anywhere, nor is it marked on the shelf, but if you buy 10, they will ring up at $1.25 each. Use those $1.00 off any Hefty bag coupons from Jewel and pick these up for 25 cents! As of today the blinkie dispenser is still hanging at Jewel.

still working today
The buy 4 @$1.25 is still working and it's on freezer and storage bags too. They had a like 40 count quart size that didn't trigger the 4 @$1.25 so I took them off and replaced them with the 13 count gal freezer and it worked. I'm not sure how long this deal is running but with those $1 blinkies from Jewel - $.25 a box is fine for me.

I should have written it down, but the shelf tag date for the end of that sale is in September - I think the 12th. That is one thing I do like about Doms -- sometimes, their sales seem to run on forever. Their Catalina deals aren't as frequent, but they usually run at least two weeks, versus 3-7 days at Jewel. Even the $4.99 instant savings deal going on the Glad, Tide, Bounty, Charmin, etc goes for another week.

I was worried I wasn't going to be able to share this deal with my mom, but I sighed with relief when I saw the tag.
Plus, I finally found the blinkie machine at my local, small grocery store out of all places!

Has anyone had luck finding those $1 Hefty blinkies at Jewel (or any other store) in the Wheaton/Glen Ellyn/Carol Stream area?? I have not been able to find them. Thanks!

I went to the Addison Jewel hoping to find the Solheim coupon book, they have been out of those, but they did have Hefty blinkies there.

I went to Fox Lake Dom the other day & they only had a tag on quart size & they were out of them so I got a raincheck. Now after reading the posts, I wish I had tried it with the other sizes.

Free Hefty Bags
I was able to find the Quart and Gallon size Hefty Bags @ Wal-mart last weekend. They were $1.00 Reg Price .... I stocked up on quite a few...
I found a few more blinkies and will probably make another trip this weekend....

Target (or Kmart) travel size
My sister (in PA) told me that Target has the 7bag travel size for $1. I haven't gotten there to check it out in IL, but you might want to keep that in mind.
Last time Kmart doubled I got a bunch of the travel sizes for free. They are 1.29 and the blinkie does not exclude travel size. Although it does say "do not double" but when I asked the cashier she said if the register allows them to double those they do- no matter what they say...
Dom's last night
I went to Dom's last night and got the quart and gal storage bags down to $1.25 if you bought more than 4, had $1 off q's AND used the 20 cent peelies off the boxes, so they were 5 cents per box. HOWEVER, only the $2.99 original prices were coming down to $1.25, so the freezer ones at $3.99 weren't going to work. The Dom's brand freezer bags were also marked down for over 4 bought, so they were $1.50 each (far cry from a nickel).
I also took them up on the Hefty tall kitchen bags quantity sale and had q's for those.

hey prea,,did u use 2 manf. q's? you stated you had $1.00 q's AND used the peelies of the box the .20 ones. how were u able to do that? i can't hardly even use ONE coupon at Dominicks without a hassle!!
mis-understood me
You must have mis-understood me. I used 10 - $1.00 blinkies from Jewel and when I bought 10 boxes of them at Dom's, the price on each box dropped to $1.25 a box. The peelies are still on the boxes in my pantry. :-)

that way--you were using 2 manufacturer's Qs per item. The Ultra I went to almost let me do this, until I made them read the fine print on the Qs.
Sale end?
When does the sale end on these does anyone know. Walmart no longer has them for a doller, and i have a bunch of coupins. O and does anyone know the price/deal on the one gallon size at Dom.

Great deal, I got 10 packs of bags, a package of Mission tortillas and 2 packs of Extra gum for $3.91 with tax...pretty much what it would cost for one pack of bags at a no sale price with tax...ha! Thanks for this one!

I bought 10 various onezips, some freezer, reg, gal, qt. I thought for sure it wasn't working and then at the last moment the prices all got adjusted! to $1.25 each. I think it was after my coupons were entered.
Here was my deal today:
10 various hefty one zip (marked sale price 2.99 on shelf)
2 Kellogg Fruit Loops
3 Pop Tarts
1 Wacky Mac (still on sale for .99)
Arnold wheat bread
Dom Hot dog bun (cuz we needed them @.99)
Prices for the heftys adjusted to 1.25 each
Buy 5 deal - cereal was 1.49 each
Buy 5 deal - pop tarts were .99 each
Arnold Bread had Dom q for 1.49 w/$20 purch
Coupons:

It was in today's Dominick's ad
so it must run for at least another week!! I went by Jewel to get some $1.00 off Hefty blinkies, but the machine is still empty :( I wonder how often they refill those? I asked a manager and he said the "Hefty people" are responsible for keeping it full, not the Jewel people.

Man, I wish I saw your post before I went to Dominick's tonight. I guess I shouldn't complain about .25 per box, but......FREE is always better. I guess I should go get some more blinkies from Jewel and get a few more boxes! Thanks for the update!
Worked Monday
The ring up 2.99 until you get to the fourth and then there is a discount bringin them to $1.25. The shelf just says $2.99. My Jewel still has the $1 off hefty blinkies so I was able to stock up for only $.25 each!
Worked Sunday
Yesterday I purchased at least 4 of the smaller boxes (lesser quantity), got the $1.25 price, used 4 $1 blinkies, making it $.25/box plus tax.
I tried many combinations when I had a very kind cashier. The Hefty trash bags did not work (hey I had to try it!!). The larger boxes of zip bags did not seem to work. The box of XL zip bags (larger than one gallon) did not work.
The bags that worked for me are the smaller boxes of quart and gallon, storage or freezer type zip bags.
4 is the magic number to get the discount, so buy a minumum of 4. but you don't have to buy in multiples of 4. So you can buy 5, 6, 8, etc...

I thought I had a great deal last week at .50 cents. They were on sale by me for $2.00, less $1.00 coupon and ..50 off for purchasing 10! I will try this tomorrow and see how they ring up, although I am set with 20 sandwich and larger size bagies! I can always use more!!

Thanks....I have Hefty baggies out my ears as it is, but for 25 cents - I can certainly use more, we use them SO often!!!

I did get lucky. I also bought some last week, but trying to figure out how many gallon size and how many quart size for school this fall was tough. So I got 2 rainchecks for 20 more just in case I could find more coupons. Well since the blinkie was still at Jewel today, I figured 50 cents was still a bargain so I was very surprised when they ended up being a quarter!

I have no idea. I tried to use my raincheck and the cashier realized something was wrong when my total for 10 baggies and 4 trash bags came to $2.08. He re-rang my order doing just the baggies and sure enough when he rang up the 10th one, $17 came off my order making them $1.25 a box. He told me not to use the raincheck because they would be cheaper if I didn't and to save it for another time. I used 10 coupons I had just picked up at Jewel, and the $2 q's off the trash bags from the 5/17? RP.

If you buy 4 trash bags, they will ring up at $4.99 each. Use your $2.00 q's to get them for $2.99 ea. Not sure if this is the greatest price, but it will keep us going for quite a while. This was for a 45 count box.

One Zip Bag Score
I have just returned from the Doms at 63rd in Woodridge. I was able to snag 19 gallon bags (combo. of reg. and freezer).
Anyone else have any luck with this?
Has anyone else tried to buy 10 to see what price and if the $17 comes off?
