Hot Dogs & Watermelon
I noticed in the Ultra Foods sale ad (dated Wed. July 1) there is a MANUFACTURERS COUPON (exp. 7/31/09) that says "Save up to $3 on a whole watermelon w/the purchase of any Ball Park Franks AND Sara Lee or Ball Park Hot Dog Buns". Now...over at Dominicks, they have Ball Park Franks on sale for 99 cents and Sara Lee Hot Dog buns on sale for 2/$5. There is a Q in the 6/7 RP for $1 off 2 Ball Park Franks, so here's what I did:
2 Ball Park Franks @ $0.99 each = $1.98
1 Sara Lee Hot Dog Bun @ $2.50
1 Whole Watermelon @ $2.98
Minus $1 Ball Park Q
Minus $3 off watermelon Q
= $3.48 OOP ($3.46 if your cashier is like mine & took the whole $3 off)
OR if you have two of the $3 Watermelon Q's you could get 2 Hot Dogs, 2 buns & 2 Watermelon for about $6.
NOTE: Watermelon is only $2.98 today (7/3) and tomorrow (7/4)!
Cashier only let me use free buns coupon
I bought 2 Ball Park franks, 1 Sara Lee bun, and 1 watermelon and gave the cashier free bun wyb 2 Ball Parks, $3 off watermelon wyb buns & Ball Park, and $1 off 2 Ball Park. The cashier told me that I couldn't use all those coupons since Ball Park was giving the discount or something like that. I ended up skipping the watermelon since I needed buns, not more watermelon at the time and I could only use the free bun coupon. I thought I was using the coupons right, but this cashier wouldn't let me do it. I found a coupon for free buns wyb 3-2 liter bottles of Coca Cola, I might try to use that one with the watermelon and Ball Park coupon.
Where did you get coupon
where did you get the coupon for free buns when you buy 2 Ball Park hot dogs? That sounds like a good one, hope it is in one of the SS.
By the way, I picked up coupons from a tearpad at Jewel last week or so which said "$3 off watermelon wyb Ball Park and buns". So I guess this is the same coupon now at Ultra! Pretty nice.

That was an expired blinkie, I thought the new one from the tearpad at Jewel was good for the free buns wyb 3-2 liters.
