Was at Wags checking out the Halloween clearance and found a
Decent deal on ALMAY makeup.
I bought 1 pure bled foundation $9.99 (marked $13.99 but rang up $9.99) and 1 pure bled mascara $6.99.
For some reason they were ringing up B1G1 Free so I ended up paying $9.99 for both items and got a $10 cat for the foundation and then another $5 for the mascara. This was a $5MM
When and if Wags fixes this to become B1G1 50% you can still do the deal but you will be paying $3.49 for the mascara but you will still get the $10 and $5 cat and still a small MM.

The second Almay item did come off as free so they havent fixed it yet at my Wags, however, does anyone have any reason why I didnt get the $10 cat? Was the cat for the pure blends items only? Thanks!!!

You are lucky you got the B1G1F though. I went to the Darien Walgreens today and it game out B1G1 50%Off.
This works with the Pure Blends eyeshadow & lipgloss too
The $5 RR is for PureBlends mascara OR eyeshadow OR lip gloss! The eye shadow is a teeny bit more expensive than the mascara at $7.49, but still free with the sale, even if it's only BOGO 50%. (Didn't price check the lip gloss, sorry)
So consider switching up your order, especially if you find a BOGO FREE store and are getting all those One Coat Mascaras free!
Speaking of the One Coat mascaras, the November book coupon for $4 off also works on the "bonus packs;" check your store. I saw bonus packs where there was a second mascara, an eyeliner pencil, or a makeup remover.

Almay One Coat Mascaras will also ring up BOGO or else BOGO 50% depending on how your store is set up... if it's a BOGO FREE situation, use the $4 off One Coat mascara Q from the November book. Each mascara is $6.99 so they'll all be FREE with overage when purchased in multiples of 2!! Make sure you have something else to eat up the overage.

I did this deal today with another fellow couponer and the lady in cosmetics offered us $1 off Almay coupons on top of this. She said we should always ask if they have coupons. She was very nice and helpful.

Glad to hear this is still working. I didn't put it in with this week's deals because they typically DO fix these midway through the week, and then I get a bunch of angry emails from people who it didn't work for... but most people realize with deals like this, there's a little risk involved. And sometimes, it pays off... very well!
not BOGO now
Looks like the BOGO computer error has been fixed. I rang up 2 transactions. On the first one, I got the BOGO price but on the 2nd transaction, it became buy one get one 1/2 off.
Depends on the store.
Try a different store. Who knows when the error will be fixed everywhere, but it wasn't consistently programmed "BOGO 50%" like it's advertised, even from the start.

So i did this deal, for my wife...
1st purchase bought 1 foundation and 1 mascara for $10.99 and got $15.00 ir RR
2nd purchase I bought the foundation and 1 lip gloss, used a $10.00 RR for $2.00. and only recieved 1 $5.00 RR
3rd puchase I bought a mascara and a eye shadow and used my $5.00 RR and didn't get any RR.
4th purchase I bought 2 eye shadows and only recieved 1 $5.00 RR
So why did the 1st purchase give 2 RR's when the store sign says only 1 RR per transaction given out. Then why when I paid witha RR I didn't get as many RR as I expected? So Walgreens RR aren't like Jewel where you can keep paying with RR and recieve more RR's... right?

Can't use RR's from the same company (or parent company)
at Wags to generate RR's. I scoped out this deal today, but wanted to see if there were any q's out there to make it even better.
1st purchase. There is 1 $10 RR and 1 $5 RR running at the same time, so you got both. The $10 RR is only on the foundation, I think. The $5 RR is 1 of everything else in that special line.
2nd purchase. You were LUCKY to get the $5.00 RR, since it was from the same parent company. Must be a glitch. I would have returned immediately and not used RR's. (You can use your RRs at most Jewel stores.)
3rd - No $5 because you used a $5 that generated a $5 ("generally" no rolling at Wags, you were right).
4th - Correct to only get $5 because it was $5 RR on 1 with a Limit of one per transaction.
I think the best way to run this might be to get the foundation and the other item at 50% but generate $15 of RRs. Probably a better deal to give the foundation away than to buy two of the other items at a time!

Yes. And you can also use them at Wags
for anything else that doesn't generate a RR. You can also use them at Wags for stuff that does generate RR's as long as they are from a different parent company! So confusing, I know!
For example: youcould have used your Almay RR's on the Johnson and Johnson Lubriderm deal and that would have worked. Then you could use your Lubriderm R&R on some more Almay. Ad nauseum.
Here's another Wags rule:
Number of Items Required per transaction >= Number of (manu coupons + RR's) BUT Wags coupons don't count.
This is crazy different than anywhere else I shop and it took me a while to figure out but I'm glad I did because Wags has so many great freebies. Check out iheartwags.com for a great FAQ and lots more scenarios.

As long as they say manufacturer coupons, most Jewels will take them. Sometimes they say store coupon (like the Kleenex cats from Doms recently) and then you have to use them at that store.
One other thing to remember is that when you use cats to pay for a cat deal at Jewel, make sure they don't manually enter them as grocery....You can lose your cat deal. Honestly, I don't remember where I read this, but I did read it. My neighbor just had that problem with the Dr. Pepper deal at Jewel, and it took us awhile to figure out what caused her deal not to work.
Just keep an eye out and if it doesn't automatically enter, remind them not to use grocery.

You can't "roll" rr's at Walgreens for a same product or one made by the same company. On your 2nd purchase, It looks like you got a $5 rr for the lip gloss, that's good....what kind was it exactly? No rr came out for the foundation since you used an foundation rr to pay. On your 3rd transaction, you again used an rr for the same company, so no rr printed. On your 4th transaction, maybe you only received 1 rr because you bought 2 of the same product, an it was a less expensive one at that, compared to the foundation. The rr printed for one of the two. You can't get 2 rr's for 2 of the same products in 1 transaction. Do you get this? Or did I confuse you even more? How nice you shopped for your wife :)

On the 4th transaction if I bought 1 eye shadow and one Mascara would I of gotten 2 RR's?
The lip gloss was from Almay as well. It was part of the RR deal.
So I basically ot all of the above for about $30.00 and I still have $10.00 in RR.. Did I do good? I hope the wife uses it.
Now can I use the RR to purchase a future different product that will spit out RR's?
No to #4 Just the foundation had the $10
Yes, to using RRs to purchase products that will generate more RRs as long as they are from a different parent company. I try to split my transactions in two so that I can use up RRs more quickly.

wag's coupon won't work
on "pure blend" variety of mascara. Cashier said it's only good for the "One coat" Almay. But that's ok, because Princess, you found one heck of a great deal here with the pure blend foundation and the pure blend mascara! I did the deal 3 times, got $45 in rrs and only spent $30 plus tax. WOW. Thanks for the heads up! I even got to use up a bunch of my older rr's, since there are no Almay MFC coupons out there.
Almay RRs
Did the deal six times using my Zantac and Chapstick cats (I used the $5 Zantac q so we're not talking about any OOP, really). Now I'm working on trading cats for facials/mani/pedi, etc. Now that will be a sweet deal. Seriously, a great deal in an otherwise cruddy Wags week, since I needed to roll a bunch of cats within the next few days.
Hope there's some left at 111th and 59...
I'm going to feel like the loser snoozer if I don't get anything! It was fully stocked when I looked this afternoon. (Should have used my phone to lookup those q's on coupontom!)
