Please Help??
I did the paper towel deal twice today. It worked great the first time and did it a second time using my cats. But never got new cats. Anyone know what I did wrong? Im still new to this. Can I return them and get my money back along with my cats????
Did you do
2 orders back to back? If so, that was probably the problem. Sometimes you need to wait a few minutes between orders. It is best to take care of things like that while you are there in the store. I say forget about it and consider it a learning experience.
Chalk it up
Chalk it up as a learning experience. Do not bother your store trying to return the paper towels. They will likely assume you are *keeping the cats* you got from them (they have no way of knowing you didn't get them) and assume you're trying to get more. Which will make them treat you with suspicion every time you come in there in the future.
(*Sadly, people do DO this too.)

Chex Mix
Has anyone done a deal with the Chex Mix. I have lots of coupons and was wondering if anyone did a Check Mix deal yet.
I have
done several deals including Chex mix but not only chex mix. The chocolate variety is the best deal. Ring price 2.99 and preferred 1.69 there is also a coupon for $0.50/1 chocolate in 10/25 SS??? .
Buy 11 chocolate variety = $32.89 /18.59
use 11 $0.50/1 coupons (if you have them, there is a $0.50/1 on coupons.com for chocolate variety) and pay 13.09 and get $15 back.
The other varieties of Chex mix are ring price 2.49 and preferred price 1.69, so not as large of a price spread and coupon value is smaller with $0.50/2 (think there is a $0.50/1 on coupons.com)
AGAIN, check your prices at your store as being off by a few pennies can change things.

I apologize for not remembering your name.....the lady with the list of UPC's that wondered if the Scot paper towel deal worked. No it did not:( I am not sure if it was because I did the 9 ice cream and the 16 paper towels at the same time because I got $30 in cats back. Is there a max in cats you can get in one transaction? Or was it because the paper towel did not all have same UPC numbers. Anyone have advice??

Figured it out!
I actually did get the cats back on the paper towels.....it was the inability to multiply the ice cream!! LOL I just blindly did the deal Jill had for black belts. Peru store rang up for 5.99 before preferred price and I only bought 9. My mistake! Live and learn and go back and try it again!!

just got back from trying to do the deal and it didn't work! Is there a reason why? I checked the price for mega roll. it was $1.29 on sale and $1.99 non preferred. i purchased 16 and NO cat. =(

I'm a little confused.. Will the other items of the 15/30 work? Maybe they are not working because the sale doesn't start till Thursday.. Can I buy te other things in the ad for Thursday to get the 15/30?

I went today to get the PT's and they were already out, but I needed a few other things ($50 of ice cream cats burning a hole in my pocket!). When I checked out, I got a q for $2 off 4 mega rolls of Scott PT's. Since I special ordered them today, I should be able to use that q later this week!
BTW, my manager friend at Jewel asked me what was up with the paper towel because she did not understand why she ran out (she said she had not yet seen the ad for Thurs and had no idea what the deals were yet). She was glad that I could shed some light on the paper towel situation :)

You're confusing me Joan. Is it Dawn or Dial? The Dawn is .99 (with in store coupon)--bought it and used .25 off. No cat...
But the Dial hand soap is 1.99 and 1.00 RR prints. I also know that there's a .35 coupon with the Dial. Are you sure it's not Dial your daughter bought?
recam and I both tried it and no cat...unless it was a glitch and they fixed it. I don't care because it was .75 anyway and I needed it...just want to clarify.

Is it wise to pay with Catalina's the first time you try a transaction? should you try it first to make sure it works?What if the Catalina machine doesn't print out more catalina's? At what point of the transaction is the Catalina supposed to print? At the end after you paid? Can you return your items and somehow get your catalina's back?

In case anyone was wondering (like I was), the current sale price for the Scott PTs is November 15 - so it continues for the duration of the cat! I was worried that this sale price would end before my special order came in, but alas we are in luck! Yay!

Question on special orders
Do they tell you how long it normally takes for a special order to come in? And have you ever prepaid for it?

that you special ordered? I'm considering doing this with some of my larger orders because it saves me time and travel. By the way if you ordered two and they are over $16 are you splitting up the order on these when you do pick the up to pay?

He told me that he's hoping to get it into today's order and that if he did it would probably be in tomorrow! This is the 1st time I've actually been able to successfully make an order (big mess last time I tried), so I have never pre-paid.
Can't Prepay
My Jewel told me that I can't prepay. We have two different managers at my Jewel...one is non-union and the other is a union employee. The non-union Manager let me prepay for the All laundery detergent last time when they forgot to order it for me. But when I asked to prepay for the mayonnaise last time they informed me that it was against union policy and they would get fired. I don't even ask anymore. Orders take 1 - 2 days usually at the most when you place a special order. I do them all the time for the food pantry.

Now you really got me wondering if it was an excuse or not. I hate that we never get the right answers. Very, very frustrating. I wonder if I called corporate if they would give me the right answer. There have been so many times that my store has not placed my orders correctly and I have missed out on great deals for the food pantry. Would have loved to prepay and wait for the next shipment to come in. :)

The $30/$15 catalinas are indeed printing now, but we aren't sure what the sale prices might be from the ad that will be out tomorrow. These are two fairly safe deals to try in the meantime if you like :)
