i got 3 and tried to use the 3 $2 coupons from the tribune and the $1 out of the walgreens book. the cashier called up the manager and he showed me in the paragraph on the walgreens coupon it does say it is a manufacturer coupon. they cant accept two manufacturer. he said it is a new thing they are doing starting this month. most all the coupons in the books will say manufacturer(not at the top, in the actual paragraph) and only the coupons from the ad will be walgreens store coupons.
does the lubriderm deal go until Saturday the 14th?
When does the Lubriderm end at Walgreens?
Goes all month
Doesn't end until 11/28. You've got plenty of time!
order is important
The manufacturer coupons need to be scanned first so hand over the $2.00 off coupons and then give the Wags coupon to be scanned. Earlier in the week I had a cashier accidently scan the Wags Q first and it caused all sorts of problems, since she had just done a previous transaction for me with the $2.00 manufacturer coupons first she just cancelled it out and re-worked it with the Wags Q last and no beeps. HTH!
beeped for me
and the cashier showed me the same thing....it does say manufacturer coupon. I had already used 3 $2 Q's, so I figured she was right. Still a great deal though, so don't worry!
No Problems
I didn't have any problems here. I used 3 - $2MQ and the $1SQ on the 3 bottles that I purchased, the deal worked great. I was even able to pull it off with the not so Q friendly/knowedgable cashier at my Wags. I guess it just depends on the cashier/Manager. But then today, I purchased 3 Zooth kids toothbrushed, used 3 - $1MQ's and the $1SQ (I think from the coloring book, using these for X-mas gift baskets, after the 2 Q's they come to $.99, not too bad) and she used the Wags Q first then the MQ's beeped, after the 2nd MQ she went to had me back the 3rd one and I told her no I bought 3 of them. So sometimes the Wags Q does confuse some of the cashiers.
SQ first
Always give store Qs first. The reason is that (at least at the stores I know of) Store Qs take the discount off the item, while MQs take the discount off the total purchase value. Here's an example:
---------------------------
I'm buying an item for $3. I have a store Q for $2.50 and a man Q for $1.
Effort 1: If I give the store q first, the item reduces it's price and
appears to cost 50 cents. Then if you scan a $1 MQ it will beep.
Effort 2: If I give the MQ 1st, $1 comes off at the end of the bill - no affect to the actual item price. Then I scan the SQ and it is still attempting to take $2.50 off a $3 item - no problem, no beeps, overage for you!
---------------------------
Does that make sense? This is definitely the way it shows up on Target and Wags receipts (not too sure on others).
Had something similar happen last month
when I was purchasing Triaminic Cough Syrup. They had the Healthy Coupon booklet where it stated Walgreens Q on top and I also had some Mfg Qs clipped from the paper (and there was a RR also). While they did not ponder the thought of using both coupons, the gal wouldn't give me back the one from the Walgreen's booklet stating she had to keep it because it was being considered a "mfg. Q". I'll have to look through the booklet and see. The Qs from it are only good until the end of the year.
MQ vs. SQ
These coupons DO say something to the effect of "manufacturers coupon" (not the exact wording though). However, they are DEFINITELY coded as a Store coupon. Just scan them and you'll see that they come off once for each item you bought. (Ex: Triaminic - buy 3 and it will scan at $6 --> $2 x 3 Triaminics = $6 off). And they do not need to keep the coupon as they throw them all away at the end of the night - What? Are they going to mail them to themselves for redemption? Ha!
