Special Ordering?

I just called my jewel on Larkin in Joliet asking about special ordering. the guy in grocery sounded like he was about 10 and kept saying ummm, ok. didnt' ask how many of each i wanted, didn't ask for my name, didn't tell me when they would be in the store, etc.

So my question is how can I go about special ordering some paper towels and chicken broth?

I'm going to call the Romeoville Jewel and ask if they can do ti for me. Then what do I do just go to the customer service desk to pick up? Can I keep using my cats to pay for everything?

Thanks for the help!

Customer Service Desk

I do all my ordering at the service desk.

When do you pay

When you pick everything up?

Yes

I pay at pickup if the sale and CAT are still current/going on. If they are over, I simply tell them that the product didn't come in quick enough and I don't need it now. They are always understanding and simply say that they'll just put it out on the shelves.

how long

does it usually take for everything to come in?

Depends

It always seems to depend on the warehouse. When the All deal was going, they didn't call with my order until a week after the deal was over. If you get an order in early enough, it comes in pretty quick.

special order

A stated elsewhere on the blog, if your order has not come in by the last day of the cat deal, please call and cancel it. Not fair to leave the store stuck with too much extra product.

Not taking special order

Hi all!
I just called two local Jewels and they are not taking special orders on the pasta or paper towels. Apparently, there is a huge warehouse problem. The very nice man was incredibly upset because several people are being very abusive to him. He said that people are actually fighting in the stores for products that are part of this deal. It shocks me to see how a deal like this can truly diminish humanity in one sense, but on the other hand bring so much needed resources to those in poverty. What a contradiction!

Curious,

on what store this was at?

Grayslake and Gurnee Jewels.
