Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! In addition to being thankful for my incredible family and all the blessings life has brought me... I'm also thankful for coupons! :) And I'm not the only one -- there have been some great posts in the Forum from people sharing the same sentiment. Chicago's ABC 7 News has been promoting a less-expensive route to Thanksgiving dinner for shoppers, and they asked me for some tips on saving on Thanksgiving groceries...

Just had to share this story with everyone... the kids and I made our weekly visit to our food pantry this morning (which is the Grafton Township Pantry, serving the Huntley area) to drop off some bags of food, and the pantry volunteers pointed out a very LARGE pile of Jewel bags on the floor -- at least eight of them packed with food. They were smiling and said that someone had come in earlier and brought this food in, and that person proudly stated that all of the food in the bags cost them less than $5, because they'd bought it with the deals they found on my blog! What a great story!

The coupon segment I did with ABC News in Chicago was so much fun that they asked me to come back again this morning to come answer viewer emails about couponing on the air. They also showed anchor Judy Hsu and I going on a shopping spree to see how much we can save!

It's been a busy day for me, because later this evening, I'll be teaching Super-Couponing in Wood Dale. Coupons have pretty much taken over my entire life right now :)
