If you're reading this, you know my super-couponing habits are no longer a secret! I'm truly in awe of the attention that my couponing has gotten. Read on for weekly deals, links to media appearances, and information on my Super-Couponing™ classes.
Everyone is crazy for couponing. I can't believe how many stories have come out over the past couple of weeks about me and my Super-Couponing classes. Today the Proviso Herald has a little story about my upcoming Melrose Park class.
Over the weekend, my Super-Couponing world crashed right into another area of my life... that of Jill Cataldo, KISS fan.
It's a little bit like Bruce Wayne and Batman, I guess... most of the time I'm a mild-mannered mom of 3 trying to make the world a little bit better ... but there are just some days in which I proverbially hang up my coupon queen tiara in exchange for the black cape and bat-suit :)
Today's Super-Couponing class in Sugar Grove was great! With 96 registrants, I'm told this was by far the largest library program that Sugar Grove ever hosted! It was my pleasure to bring Super-Couponing to Sugar Grove today, and if you have any questions that you didn't get a chance to ask, please feel free to do so here.
The Lake Villa Review gave a glowing review of last week's Super-Couponing class. 2 newspapers in one day? This coupon stuff's really catching on..! "You can do this!" cried self-proclaimed "super-couponer" Jill Cataldo, who lead a presentation at the Lake Villa District Library Oct. 9...
The Algonquin Countryside has a follow-up story on one of my coupon classes, and I think it's good reading for anyone who's had problems with difficult cashiers: The cashier gave me the evil eye when I handed her a handful of coupons. And I think I am not alone. Back in August I wrote a column about a class offered by the Huntley Area Public Library called "Super Couponing" ... And since then ... noticed some rudeness among cashiers.
I've been getting a lot of emails from people asking how they can support this site (some seem worried that I'm going to start charging for access to it!) I have no plans to do that, but of course it is an undertaking both timewise and financially to run a site like this. I'm happy to announce that there's a very EASY way you can support my blog. At the right under Coupon Tools are a new links to print coupons from all three major coupon printing sites. When you print them via this link, a portion of the coupons you print goes to help support my blog.
The Midweek has a story on me in the 10/2 issue... read it online!
Especially in this economic climate, wouldn't it be great if we could open up our wallets, clip our money in half, and double it on the spot? Well, Huntley resident Jill Cataldo can't help you actually “double” your money, but she can help you feel like you doubled your money the next time you go grocery shopping. more
When I teach coupon classes, one of the questions that invariably comes up is "what do you do when a cashier won't take your coupons?" The usual answer to that question is to familiarize yourself with the store's coupon policy, which will specify exactly what kind of coupons the store will accept and how they can be used.
A good clip: Local coupon mavens know how to make a deal
If today’s newspaper arrived with $30 tucked inside, would you toss the cash into the recycling bin?
Probably not. But Huntley mom Jill Cataldo and Barrington mom Amy Paulus say that’s exactly what many people are doing every week.
The Algonquin Countryside reviewed the Huntley coupon class in their 8/28 issue, and here are some highlights... Three of us went to the presentation called "Super Couponing" on Aug. 14 at Faith Community Church in Huntley. We were in good company--the place was packed. More than 160 people attended the class, which was "designed to help people maximize their grocery savings and purchase hundreds of dollars worth of groceries for just pennies..."
